Author Guidelines
Authors wishing to submit their manuscripts to the Journal Smart Computing and Applications (JSCA) must adhere to the following guidelines. Manuscripts that do not comply with the technical requirements and the journal's house style will be returned to the author for correction before further processing.
1. General Requirements

Originality: The manuscript must be an original work, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by any other journal.

Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Length: The manuscript should be between 6 to 12 pages in length, including references and appendices.
2. Manuscript Structure (IMRaD)
Each manuscript should be organized in the following order:

Title: Maximum 15 words, informative, and concise.

Author Identity: Full name (without academic titles), affiliation (department/institution), and correspondence email address.

Abstract: A single paragraph (150–250 words) summarizing the background, objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions.

Keywords: 3–5 words or phrases reflecting the core of the research.

Introduction: Explaining the research problem, gap analysis, and research objectives.

Research Methods: Technical details regarding algorithms, system design, data collection, or experimental procedures.

Results and Discussion: Research findings supported by visual data (tables/figures) and in-depth analysis.

Conclusion: Summarizing the research objectives and providing suggestions for future work.

References: A minimum of 15 references, with 80% consisting of primary sources (journals/proceedings) published within the last 10 years.
3. Technical Requirements & Formatting

File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

Template: Authors must use the official [Download JSCA Template Here].

Citations & References: Follow the IEEE Style (numbers in square brackets, e.g., [1]). Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.

Figures & Tables: Must be high-resolution (minimum 300 DPI), numbered consecutively, and accompanied by clear captions.
4. Ethical Policies

Plagiarism: All manuscripts will be screened using anti-plagiarism software (Turnitin). The maximum allowed similarity index is 20%.

AI Declaration: Authors must honestly declare the use of Artificial Intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT) in the preparation of the manuscript within the introduction or acknowledgment section.
